Dreams of Purple Mansions

Oh gosh. I’m sitting here feeling really bad.

We have a chorus class. It’s mandatory. But no one notices if two or three people don’t show up. Today, I decided to go with Susan to skip the singing again. It was only my second time! And when I come home, I see a call from Kelly. I get really worried, because what other reason would she have to call me other than we were found? I message Cherry, Alice, and Kelly in hopes that they still have their cell in front of them. I ask if we’ve been caught. Cherry says yes, and tells me that since four people skipped today, the teacher found out. After all, we only have 20 students in our class excluding the DP class.  Turns out Jennifer skipped today too. Crap…Cherry said the teacher didn’t ask for names, but I still think I’m gonna get into trouble…

Lalala.  Loolooloo. Wheewheewhee. Whoopdidoopdidoop. Whooosh! Beep. Bump.

I think I’m 无聊 to a new extent. Came home at 5, ate, and went straight to sleep. Woke up at 8:30. If someone mentions “Koch Snowflake” again, I’m going to go for strangulation. Stupid report. 

Bleh, did worse than I thought I would have in Physics. On the other hand, I found my fourth grade best friend on Facebook. We lost contact after seventh grade…XD.

So here’s the convo that goes on when my math teacher’s helping me with a question:

他：你觉得你下次考试应该怎么样计划？

我：我不知道。

他：你这次觉得为什么翻了一些错误？

我：我不知道。。。可能是艺术问题。

他：还有哪？

我：可能因为我很苯。

他：。。。

Well…all results except physics and art have come out…that’s it for midterms. I’m glad we don’t have to worry about huge tests for some time…

Anyways, yesterday we had our 11 km walk. It was drizzling, too, so it wasn’t a very good experience. When we got there, we stood in the cold for some time where they made speeches and stuff, then got to go home. Alice, Nevin, Cherry, and I went to Xinjiekou, which is basically the center of shopping in Nanjing. We split up, and Alice and I went to Starbucks. Had a caramel frappuccino and a stawberry tiramisu…then we walked the 7 floors of Deji Plaza…we were going to go to the arcade, but it was too loud and crowded.  Alice left, and I waited for my mother to finish teaching her class so we could watch a movie together. Watched the Bourne Ultimatum…we both got horrible surprises when we went into the theatre…when the first character opened his mouth, it was in Chinese. The movie was quite good, though. Took a taxi home. I think overall I walked almost 20 km yesterday. 

Currently eating preserved kiwis…don’t wanna go to school tomorrow! 

Midterms finally over as of noon today. I never want to see those tests again.

English - skipped a question cuz it was bs. Don’t feel like explaining why for the fourth time.

Math - ugh. Whenever I think about this I want to go hit my head a few times against a wall. Completely ran out of time…17 marks lost right off the bat. 

Physics - this went okay. Kinda bad, though, cuz he said initially that we were going to be tested motion, vectors, and electricity & magnetism. Turns out there was only motion and magnetism on the test. Too bad I only studied vectors. T_T Force was okay, and at least I remembered the electricity formulas. But only enough to pull me through. Can’t expect a good grade for this one…

Chemistry - I think it went better than expected. But that was only cuz a lot of the questions were from the homework but some of the others just didn’t realize it cuz they didn’t really remember the homework or were too busy checking up words. Still, though, tops is eighty something. Dunno yet.

Chinese - the only score that I do know for sure. Ugh…only 84%, which translates to a six in IB. *Hits head*

Biology - it was okay, cuz I actually listened in all the biology classes and took notes. But I messed up the third month of pregnancy with the fifth month. I remember at the end I was sitting there contemplating which of the two was which signs of growth in the fetus…and I chose wrong. Woe is me. T_T

Art - spent way too long drawing the eyes on the friggin face. Realized that I only had 15 minutes left to write five written responses. Bs-ed the analyzations of the two pieces of art. I hope she buys the bs. 

Economics - I think it went okay…not sure if I got a question wrong or something though. 

Half of me wants to see the results of the above so I can see how badly I’ve failed everything…while the other half never wants to see the results.

Bleh. I’m watching Gensomaden Saiyuki. First period of leisure in a week. Pooey, though…now that midterms are over, we have to go to school at seven and come home at five again…urck.

我彻底崩溃了！哎呀，期中考试下个星期就来了。。。怎么可能啊！我肯定考不好，我一点东西都不会！ 太郁闷了! 在加我姑妈们肯定会杀了我要是我考不好…这几天搞的我今天都快哭了在学校里！ 

Argh…*whining up ahead*

I’m so stressed I could jump off a mountain and not notice I’m plunging to my death.

Tomorrow is Monday again. Another weekend come and gone…and it’s not even fair because we have to go to half day friggin school on SATURDAY! What happened to the custom definition of weekend as the two days we get to relax from work?! 

I don’t know how to do the friggin math sheet, nor type up the friggin math report we have due tomorrow. Oh yeah, I still have to write my weekly two page Chinese composition! Plus I don’t know if we have to do that friggin physics sheet, which is tough work for me because the rest of the class learned the contents in their ninth grade, which doesn’t help me since I skipped it! @#$*&@)%@ I’m sick of failing chemistry and having an average near-to-fail in math! 

But then I think about those students downstairs in our school, who probably don’t sleep until 12 even when spending all their time studying. Our school has a program where kids my age (ninth grade) are doing normal Chinese tenth grade stuff. Some are doing eleven and twelve! They’re called the National Achievement Class in Chinese or something…dunno how to translate the last part correctly. Pfft. Overachievers…or I’m just jealous. T_T

Ah well, enough whining from me. Another week is coming, bedtime is approaching, homework isn’t writing itself…I’ve realized that this blog so far is filled with whining…I’ll have to stop that. T_T  

The math unit test went okay, I guess…at the end, I didn’t know how to do three, two of which were multiple choice. So I guessed on the two, and left the third written response unfinished…*sigh*. 

Got 10/10 on my Economics quiz…but I think that’s only because I understood the questions which were in English and the rest of the class had to scramble for their electronic dictionaries every few seconds…I’m glad I’m not failing Econ too, though. I already have enough subjects I’m failing.
